The Head and Neck Cancer Center

This center provides evaluation and management of benign and malignant processes involving the thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland, paranasal sinuses, and aerodigestive tract. Surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy are often combined with new clinical protocols to enhance patient outcome. Newer techniques including Endoscopic sinus surgery and minimally invasive endocrine surgery enable improved patient outcomes with reduced morbidity.
The Hearing and Balance Center

This Center combines the expertise of otologists, audiologists, neurosurgeons and physical therapists in the management of hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, chronic ear infections, acoustic tumors and facial paralysis.
The Voice Center
John T. Sinacori, M.D. , Director
This Center provides management of a wide range of speech, voice and swallowing disorders including spasmodic dysphonia, hoarseness and aspiration.
The Center for Pediatric Otolaryngology
Craig Derkay, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.P. and David Darrow, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.A.P., Directors
Based at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, this provides otolaryngology care for all pediatric patients including management of Otitis media, adenotonsillar disease and airway disorders.
The Center for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery
This Center is devoted to plastic and reconstructive care for cosmetic and functional disorders. Cosmetic care is provided in a confidential fashion at our Greenwich Road facility which includes 3 fully equipped operating rooms along with a dedicated skin care facility.
The Center for Hemangiomas and Vascular Birthmarks
David H. Darrow, M.D., D.D.S. and Judith Williams, M.D., Directors
This Center is the only program in the MidAtlantic region that provides mulit-disciplinary care to children and adults with vascular birthmarks. Specialists from dermatology, interventional radiology, and genetics complement the core faculty from plastic surgery and otolaryngology. Patients with hemangiomas and a variety of vascular malformations are treated using a combination of laser therapy, surgery, and embolization.
The Center for Skull Base Surgery

This Center combines the expertise of head and neck oncology, neurotology, neurosurgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, radiation therapy and interventional radiology to address benign and malignant disease involving the skull base. By utilizing this multi-disciplinary team approach, curative therapies are available for patients once felt to have untreatable disorders of the head and neck. |
